Before comedian Sebastian Maniscalco takes the stage at the Borgata this November in Atlantic City, he’s headed to movie screens nationwide in his new film “About My Father.”
Co-written by Maniscalco, he plays a version of “himself,” as a guy introducing his traditional Italian father, Salvo, to his wealthy potential in-laws. Sebastian invites Salvo to his soon-to-be fiance’s extravagant family home for Fourth of July weekend. Robert DeNiro stars as Maniscalco’s widowed father.
The weekend develops into what can only be described as a culture clash, leaving Sebastian and Salvo to discover the true meaning of what it means to be a family.
“About My Father” is in theaters May 26th.
