News Update: K-9 Takes Down Burglars

Warren County has agreed to pay $2 million to two men who say they were sexually abused by the late Sheriff Edward Bullock when they were teenagers. The men say the assaults took place during the late 1970s and late 1980s.

A man is dead after getting hit by a pick-up truck in Old Bridge. 62-year-old Charles Breitweiser was hit near White Oak Lane, while trying to cross Route 516. He died at an area hospital; police say the incident was not a hit-and-run.

An Old Bridge K-9 is being recognized as a hero for tracking down two burglars after they broke into a woman’s home. In his first official assignment, Zeus was able to track them down within 15 minutes. Both suspects surrendered and were taken into custody.

Rutgers University Dance Marathon raised over $560,000 for the Embrace Kids Foundation, during an event at Jersey Mike’s Arena. The money will go towards the non-medical needs of sick children. The marathon is the largest, student-run charity in New Jersey.
