News Update: Ribbon Cutting for Butterfly Garden

A Monmouth County man was charged with trying to kill his girlfriend with a machete. 24-year-old Alex Williams attacked the woman last week at the Glen Oaks apartments. Police say she suffered multiple and significant injuries.

Police are investigating after a fatal motorcycle crash in Hunterdon County. 23-year-old Kacy Cook, of Whitehouse Station, crashed when his bike left the road and hit a pole. He was transported to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The North Wildwood Emergency Beach Nourishment Dredge Project is officially underway. As of now, beaches from 2nd Avenue to 8th Avenue are closed until further notice. The project is expected to be finished on July 4th.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for the new Butterfly Garden at the Summit Park Line. The garden is located at the Park Line entrance on Broad Street. It will provide butterflies with an environment where they can lay eggs and return year after year.
