Town officials are pitching a plan to install artificial turf at Millburn High School’s athletic field. The project would cost around $7.5 million. If approved, work would begin this summer and be finished by March of 2027.

Valley National Bank has announced a $106,000 donation that will be put towards schools and educational organizations in Florida and New Jersey. The funding is made possible by the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility program.

Jill Gomez was just sworn in to serve on the committee for Hillsborough Township. With her hiring, this marks the first time since at last 1982 that the committee is majority female. Gomez joins Catherine Payne and Samantha Hand.

The Belleville Fire Department has installed red caps on fire hydrants throughout the township, as part of a new monitoring system. The technology will help them detect leaks early, before they become major water main breaks.
