New Jersey has a new Governor. Mikie Sherrill was sworn in as the state’s 57th Governor earlier today at the Performing Arts Center in Newark. Sherrill is the first Democrat woman to lead New Jersey. Sherrill is a former Navy helicopter pilot and a member of Congress in New Jersey’s 11th district.

Dr Dale Caldwell was also sworn in as New Jersey’s 4th Lieutenant Governor. He is a former college president and teh first male to hold the position.

The Count Basie of the Arts Center is hosting the first-ever “Roast of New Jersey” on Saturday, February 28th. The event will be emceed by Roast Master General Jeff Ross and will feature a panel of familiar names, including Joey Diaz, Tiki Barber and Joe Gorga.

A cute story out of Evesham Township. Officer Traver was in his patrol car as he captured this moment on camera – an opossum using the crosswalk to pull a tree branch from one side of the street to the other. The video was posted as a reminder to residents to always use the crosswalk.
