The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office has received reports of phone scams, targeting Xfinity and Verizon customers. Officials are warning residents to be on the lookout for texts and emails from these companies and to call your local police department if you feel you’ve been targeted.

Joe DiVincenzo was on hand as a new employee gym was unveiled at the Essex County Correctional Facility. The donation is part of a wellness initiative that allows corrections officers to deal with the stress that comes with the job.

Bergen Catholic students and faculty were in Lima, Peru for their annual immersion service trip. They were there to help rebuild homes for those living in poverty, while also taking time to learn about the local culture.

Congratulations to Sergeant Michael Grochowski of the Jackson Township Police Department. He’s retiring after 26 years of service to the community.
