IMAGES: Christian Brothers Baseball Downs Camden Catholic in NPA South First Round

Christian Brothers topped Camden Catholic, 8-1, in the first round of the 2026 NJSIAA South Jersey, Non-Public A Baseball Tournament.

Michael Knox and Jayden Matejicka each had two hits to lead the CBA offense.  Knox was 2-3 with an RBI and a run scored, while Matejicka went 2-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.  Colin Hoverter and Alex Fiore each had a double for the Colts.

Luke Grbic started on the mound for Christian Brothers.  He pitched a complete game, scattering six hits while only giving up one run and striking out seven.

Reece Murphy and Chase Wolk each had two hits, and Murphy had the Irish’s lone RBI to lead the Camden Catholic offense.

Wolk also started on the mound for the Irish.  He pitched a complete game, surrendering eight runs on 11 hits while striking out five.

With the win, Christian Brothers advances to face Union Catholic in the NJSIAA South Jersey, Non-Public A quarterfinals on Thursday, while with the loss, Camden Catholic sees their season come to a close with a 2-22 record.
