Charlie Day takes on Hollywood in his directorial debut “Fool’s Paradise,” a comedy following a down-on-his-luck publicist, “Lenny” played by Ken Jeong. His luck changes when he meets Day’s character, a recently released mental health patient, who doesn’t speak but just so happens to look like a diva movie star who refuses to do his job. The late Union native Ray Liotta plays a gruff movie producer who, together with Lenny, groom Day’s character for the part.
The film also stars Kate Beckinsale, Adrien Brody, Edie Falco, Jason Sudeikis, with many more cameos.
Jeong sat down with NJ Morning Show’s Kristina Behr to talk about Day in his directorial debut, why he cried on set, and what it was like working with Liotta.
