The New York Giants look good.
The team’s first two days of training camp have gone very well. They seem to have bonded well over the last couple of weeks, and they have learned how to trust one another when it comes to trying to catch the ball. Big Blue didn’t seem as disorganized as they did last season. This year is already looking like they may have a chance to be what they once were, but it all depends on how they carry themselves going into the 2025 National Football League (NFL) season.
New York still needs work in some areas. However, within the first two practices, they pushed through and proved that they know they have everything under control. The defensive line ran many drills. Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and others were all seen doing reps and trying to learn to make better stops for the up-and-coming season.
The quarterback room looked very much intact on day two. On the first day, rookie Jaxson Dart threw a pick-six. However, in today’s practice, all was forgiven when he threw the ball and was able to connect on many occasions. Pro Bowl wide receiver, Malik Nabers, and 2025 fourth-round pick, Cam Skattebo, seemed to be his number one targets when he ran his reps.
Russell Wilson, Tommy Devito, and Jameis Winston ran plenty of reps as well. Wilson kept the offensive line clean and well-organized. There were no mistakes when he was at the starting quarterback position, which is what head coach Brian Daboll is hoping for. Wilson was able to get the ball to both Nabers and Skattebo without any issues, as well.
Both of these players could make small runs in the red zone, and the Giants’ red zone offense also looked very clean. The team spent a lot of time celebrating every play they made without having to go back and fix mistakes that had been previously made.
The Big Blue look like they have gotten some of their life back, and hopefully, the Giants will be able to keep this up going into the preseason and the regular season.
