Guinness World Record Set by Recycle My Battery

A Guinness World Record for the Longest Line of Batteries was broken on Saturday, October 7th, 2023, by the organization Recycle My Battery. At Woodbrook Elementary School in Edison, NJ, participants tediously placed 31,204 batteries in a line to break the previous record of 1,380.
The attempt was more than just record setting, “Our Guinness World Record attempt for the Longest Line of Batteries is not just about achieving a record; it’s about a mission to promote battery recycling awareness.”
Founder of Recycle My Battery, Sri Nihal Tammana, was just 10 years old when he started his campaign four years ago. His mission is to encourage others and educate as many people as possible on the importance of battery recycling.  The organization has collaborated with like-minded individuals across the United States to introduce recycling bins specially designated for the collection of batteries. These efforts are crucial in diverting batteries from ending up in landfills, contributing to a more sustainable and eco-friendly approach to battery disposal.
