HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL TEAMS RAISE MONEY FOR TUNNEL TO TOWERS FOUNDATION

Some of the most talented High School baseball players in the state will be taking a swing for a good cause.

The “Tip Your Cap Classic” is taking place tonight and tomorrow at Union High School featuring some of the most successful high school baseball programs.

Former professional baseball player Ray Navarrete and Union High School Varsity Head Coach Angel Navarrete co-founded the event along with his brother Angel to raise money for the Tunnel To Towers Foundation, honoring those impacted by the tragedy of 9/11 as well as the military, law enforcement and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice for our country.

Tunnel to Towers has been helping America’s heroes by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children, by building custom-designed smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders, and working tirelessly to eradicate veteran homelessness.

This event helps to bring more awareness to the cause and all profits will be donated to the foundation. Last year the “Tip Your Cap Classic” raised more than $12,000. Navarrete is aiming for $25,000 this year.
