Cooper Smoragiewicz made a 34-yard field goal as time expired to lift Summit to a 31-28 win over West Essex and into the 2025 NJSIAA Football North Jersey, Section 2, Group 3 Championship game.

Matt McKeever and Alex Schwark led the Summit offense. McKeever was nine of 15 for 219 yards passing, while Schwark led the Hilltopper ground game with 107 yards on 11 carries and three touchdowns.

Jake Long led the West Essex. Long was eight of 15 passing for 112 yards and two touchdowns, and he carried the ball 21 times for 119 yards and an additional two TDs for the Knights.

With the win, Summit will next travel to West Morris to face the Wolfpack in the N2G3 Championship on Friday. West Essex sees their season come to a close with a final record of 6-4.
