After a first quarter that saw each team only muster one basket apiece, the tone was set as the Passaic Valley girls basketball team topped Butler, 31-28, in a low-scoring affair on Jan. 29, 2026, inside Marge Giles Gymnasium at Butler High School.

LilyAnn Allmendinger led the Hornets’ offense with 12 points, and Kylie Allmendinger and Gabriella Bagnuolo added nine and eight points, respectively.

Alexa Sinopoli scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Butler. Anabella Cole also added 12 rebounds to help the Bulldog effort.

With the win, Passaic Valley improves to 9-5 and will next host DePaul Catholic on Feb. 3, while Butler falls to 9-5 and will next travel to Pequannock on Saturday for a Morris County Tournament first-round contest against the Panthers.
