Brendan Jones was the hero of the night for the Somerset Patriots (New York Yankees, AA) as he singled home Cole Gabrielson in the bottom of the tenth inning to lead the Patriots to a 3-2, extra-inning victory over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (New York Mets, AA) in a Double-A Subway Series clash on Aug. 9, 2025.

Dylan Jasso went 2-4 at the plate and knocked in a RBI to lead the Somerset offense. Tyler Hardman, Coby Morales, and Jones each had the Patriots’ other hits. Jones also recorded a walk, the game-winning RBI, and a run scored.

Trent Sellers started on the mound for Somerset, surrendering only two hits, four walks while striking out four over 4.2 scoreless innings. Ryan Anderson picked up the win for the Patriots, notching two Ks while pitching the final 1.1 innings.
