IMAGES: Three-peat! Princeton Captures Third Straight Group 3 Girls Volleyball State Crown

Naomi Lygas and Charlotte Woods each had double-doubles to lead Princeton to their third consecutive NJSIAA Group 3 Girls Volleyball State Championship with a convincing 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-18) victory over Millburn.

Lygas hammered down 25 kills and dug up 10 balls, while Woods notched 13 kills and 13 digs.  Kaelin Bobetich dished out 34 assists to go along with four aces to add to the Tiger offensive effort, while Camila Barbosa led the Princeton defense with 14 digs.

Sydney Grani had a double-double of her own with 14 kills and 11 digs to lead the Millers.  Franna Hawksworth handed out 29 assists, and Lily Philipov contributed 19 digs to Millburn’s cause.

Princeton finishes their season 27-5 with the win, while Millburn finishes their year 23-7 with the loss.
