Wayne Valley accumulated 467 yards of total offense en route to a thrilling, 37-31, victory over 2024 Group 1 state runner-up, Cedar Grove outside the United States Military Academy Prep School in West Point, N.Y., on Aug. 30, 2025.

Valley quarterback Danny Ferrauilo was efficient, leading the Wayne Valley offensive attack, completing 12 of 17 passes for 273 yards and four touchdowns.  Bryce Flower led the Indian receiving corps, hauling in three catches for 114 and two touchdowns.  Elizer Estevez provided the compliment to the Wayne Valley air assault, carrying the ball 22 times for 179 yards and a TD.

Donovan Brown had a fumble recovery and an interception for the Indians on defense.

Cedar Grove quarterback Pierce Asfalg led the way for the Panthers on offense.  Asfalg slung the pigskin around all afternoon, completing 32 of 43 passes for 307 yards with a touchdown and an interception.  His top two targets were Xavier Andujar and Michael Ruggiano, who both surpassed the century mark in receiving yards.  Andujar hauled in 13 catches for 109 yards while Ruggiano caught eight passes for 149, including a 66-yard touchdown to open the afternoon’s scoring.

Thomas Cannataro led the Cedar Grove defense, recording 13 tackles, two of which went for a loss.

Wayne Valley will next host Northern Highlands, while Cedar Grove will travel to Weequahic on Sept. 5.
