Morris County Columbus Day Parade

This Sunday, on October 8th, at 2:00 p.m., East Hanover is gearing up for its annual Columbus Day parade along Ridgedale Avenue. Leading the procession as the Grand Marshal this year is Jack Ciattarelli, a former New Jersey State Assemblyman. Assisting in the role of Parade Master of Ceremonies is Lisa Marie Falbo from Long Shot Productions, with support from Christina Agnellino. The East Hanover Italian American Club is proudly sponsoring this event.

Before the parade kicks off, an Awards Dinner is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. tonight,  Friday, October 6th, at Hanover Manor, located at 16 Eagle Rock Avenue in East Hanover. Tonight’s event will feature the presentation of various awards, including the Italian American Man and Woman of the Year Frank DeMaio and Stacie Costello, the Entrepreneur of the Year, John Trezza, Marc Macaluso who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, and crowning Giuliana Lazorko as the Parade Princess. These distinguished honorees will be marching alongside Jack Ciattarelli in leading the parade on Sunday.

Those in attendance can anticipate a thrilling lineup of participants in the parade, featuring the Hanover Park and Whippany Park marching bands, lively clowns, vintage cars, the Italian State Police, and dedicated representatives from Morris County’s fire and police departments.

But the excitement doesn’t end with the parade. Afterward, at 3:00 p.m. in Lurker Park, spectators can immerse themselves in a range of complimentary, family-friendly activities and entertainment. The offerings include a rock climbing wall, captivating dance performances, an inflatable slide and bounce house, creative face painting, an array of delicious food options, craft vendors showcasing their goods, and vibrant live music!
