The fall semester is an exciting time: classes starting back up, student involvement coming back to college campuses, and sports starting back up. The Princeton Men’s Ice Hockey team is looking forward to changing the course and pace going into the 2026-2027 campaign.
2025-2026 Season
In the 2025-2026 season, the Tigers had an overall record of 18-13-3. Against the Ivy League, Princeton was 11-9-2. The Tigers started last season on Saturday, October 25, 2025. The team had the home-ice advantage facing Simon Fraser University. The Tigers would win their home opener and first game of the season with a shutout 2-0. The longest losing streak the team would see was only two games. Unfortunately, the team’s success would end at the ECAC championships, where the Tigers would lose to #9 Dartmouth 1-2.
2026-2027 Season
The upcoming season is a chance for the Tigers to come back with determination: win the ECAC championships and advance to the D1 NCAA Hockey Tournament. The season will begin at home on Saturday, October 17 at 7 p.m. (EST) facing Maryville University. Ivy League play will begin three weeks later when Princeton will travel up to Ithaca, New York to face Cornell University at 7 p.m. The season will end at home on Saturday February 27 at 7 p.m. on Senior Night facing Yale University.
Looking Ahead
The 2026-2027 season is going to be a memorable one for the Princeton Men’s Ice Hockey team. Six freshmen will be joining the roster this season along with new head coach Ben Syer.

The team will also be led by seven seniors in hopes of leaving their final mark on the ice before graduation. The Tigers are ready to reveal their stripes not just to the university as a whole but to the entire Ivy League.
