Award-Winning Director Thaddeus O’Sullivan on Family, Friendship, and Miracles in ‘The Miracle Club’

The Miracle Club follows the story of three generations of close friends, Lily (Maggie Smith), Eileen (Kathy Bates), and Dolly (Agnes O’Casey) who live in a small Dublin community, and all have the same dream to win a pilgrimage to the sacred French town of Lourdes. A long-standing tradition- particularly in Ireland, many believe its a place of miracles and it draws millions of visitors each year.

The women set out on the journey that they hope will change their lives, with Chrissie (Laura Linney) a skeptical traveler, joining in place of her mother and they’re faced with confronting their pasts even as they travel in search of a miracle.

The movie is directed by award-winning Irish filmmaker Thaddeus O’Sullivan, who talked about the heartfelt story about family, friendship, and healing old wounds.

The Miracle Club is in select theaters now.
