October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and while many people think of physical or emotional abuse, there’s another form that often goes unnoticed: financial abuse. It’s actually the most common form of domestic violence, yet only 3% of people recognize it as abuse. Sharisse Kimbro, Relationship Abuse Program Officer at The Allstate Foundation, joins the show to help us understand the signs of financial abuse and how to break the cycle.
