Free Jazz Concerts at NJPC

February 19, 2026

Newark’s jazz scene is alive and swinging this season, and you don’t need a ticket to be part of it. New Jersey Performing Arts Center, has a long tradition of bringing world-class jazz to the community, and this winter and spring they’re continuing that mission with a lineup of free performances across the city.

From monthly concert series to community jam sessions, NJPAC is making it easy for residents and visitors alike to experience live jazz featuring some of today’s top artists. The organization is also home to major signature events like the TD James Moody Jazz Festival each fall and the renowned Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, all part of its deep commitment to keeping the legacy of jazz strong in New Jersey.

Joining us this morning to talk more about these free concerts and how they connect the community through music is Eyesha Marable, Assistant Vice President of Community Engagement for NJPAC.
