We’re following a troubling trend that’s been sending both kids and adults to emergency rooms across New Jersey and beyond: THC-laced candy packaged to look almost identical to familiar brand-name treats. These products are making their way into homes, schools, and communities and the consequences can be dangerous, especially for children.
To help us understand what’s happening, the health risks involved, and what parents need to watch for, we’re joined by Dr. Maureen Nemetski, a Pediatric ER Specialist. She has seen firsthand how these look-alike edibles are leading to accidental overdoses and panic situations for families.
