A major shift is coming to New Jersey’s hemp and cannabis market, and it could have a big impact on both businesses and consumers. New regulations signed into law earlier this year are set to crack down on intoxicating hemp products like Delta-8 and Delta-10, redefining what can legally be sold and who can sell it.
Starting this month, stricter enforcement is underway, and many products currently found in convenience stores and smoke shops may soon fall under full cannabis regulation, overseen by the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission.
Joining us now is Joshua Bauchner, Partner and Chair of the Cannabis, Hemp & Psychedelics Practice Group at Mandelbaum Barrett PC, to break down what these changes mean and how businesses can prepare.
