The Pleasantville fire department has some new equipment thanks to FEMA. The agency awarded the department a $649,000 Assistance to Firefighters Grant, which was used to replace aging air packs.
A North Bergen man has been convicted of stabbing a 64-year-old behind the Bergen Town Center back in 2021. Augusto Perez was found guilty by a jury for the stabbing death of Omar Cruz of Albany, New York. Perez is scheduled to be sentenced on May 30th.
Investigators seized over a hundred dogs from a breeding compound in South Jersey that was allegedly used for dogfighting. The compound is owned by the parents of Bruce Low Jr., who faces several charges, including animal cruelty.
