Two Newark men have pleaded guilty to robbing a postal worker at gunpoint back in 2023. They stole a cell phone, keys and used credit cards from the victim’s wallet. Both are scheduled for sentencing this summer. A Newark man was sentenced to 46 months in prison, after stealing nearly $20,000 in federal benefits that were meant for his missing girlfriend’s son. The 39-year-old shared a home with the woman, who went missing in 2017. He took the money over a three-year period. Monmouth Undersheriff Ted Freeman, who plays trombone, recently performed with the Atlantic Wind Ensemble at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. He’s also the band’s assistant conductor. New Jersey Transit Police Sergeant Anthony Molinaro received his retirement shield, following 23 years of service with the agency. Molinaro worked in the Patrol Division, Special Operations Division and Central Communications Center.
