A man accused of fatally stabbing his wife in Mahwah back in 2021 claims he was sleepwalking when the incident took place. 76-year-old Dieter Zimmermann is charged with first-degree murder.
A cargo train derailed near Gateway Boulevard in Westville. Route 130 and Route 45 had to be blocked at Hazel Avenue. The train was carrying about 65 cars at the time. No injuries were reported.
