Starting Monday, Pleasant Hill Road in Mount Olive Township will be closed to through traffic. Crews will be replacing two bridges over Drakes Brook. Work is expected to take about four months. Detour signs will be posted.

New Jersey State Police presented Mitchell Stetson with a 2025 Civilian of the Year Award. He serves the agency as a State Alert and Warning Coordinator, and was recognized for his contributions to emergency management.

Bayonne’s run in the Little League World Series sadly came to an end this week, with a 5-to-2 loss to Ohio, but the city gave them a warm welcome home. This was first little league team in Bayonne’s 75-year history to make it to the World Series.

High School football is here, and the Bergen Catholic team was at Jack McGovern Field getting ready for their season opener tomorrow. The Crusaders will head to Pennsylvania, to take on Pittsburgh Central Catholic.
