A 17-year-old has been charged with fatally shooting a 16-year-old at a Jersey City apartment on Rose Avenue earlier this month. The victim, from Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nicolas Carra suddenly announced he’s stepping down from his role as the Mayor of Rartian. Carra said in a letter that the decision was not made lightly. He was scheduled to finish his term in 2027.

Sparta Police Officer Michael Poon is being hailed a hero, after rescuing a dog that fell through the ice on Lake Mohawk. The dog made it safely back to shore, after Poon jumped in and pushed the animal out of the water.

The annual Rutgers Football coat drive brought the six-year donation total to more than 2,500. The event was done in partnership with RWJBarnabas Health and Robert Wood Johnson, with support from Macy’s and Red Door Real Estate.
