A marijuana dispensary in Jersey City, co-owned by rapper and actor Ice-T, has shut down. The shop, called The Medicine Woman, opened back in April. The shutdown was blamed on high costs and lack of government support.

Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill says she’ll nominate Kris Kolluri to be executive director of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority. Kolluri will also continue his role as President and CEO of New Jersey Transit.

The East Orange School District was just awarded a $1.7 million electric school bus grant. The money will be put towards five electric buses and three charging stations that will be installed over the next year.

The results are in! Two lion cubs at Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange officially have their names following a naming contest. There’s Anga, which means sky in Swahili, and Kito which means precious jewel.
