Governor Murphy just signed legislation to transfer all of New Jersey City University’s academic programs, facilities and assets – to Kean University. The merger between the two schools is expected to be complete by July 1st.

Local officials and Netflix executives – got together to celebrate the streaming company’s purchase of the Fort Monmouth property that’s being turned into a studio campus. Construction has already begun and is expected to be finished by 2028.

Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill is nominating Rosalie Johnson to be the Chief Administrator of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. Johnson previously served as Senior Deputy Director of the Colorado DMV.

Mount Laurel resident Isabeau Levito was chosen for the U.S. Ice Skating Team, and will compete at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy. The selection comes following her bronze finish at the U.S. Figure Skating Championship.
