Governor Mikie Sherrill has announced that between 2023 and 2024, 6,600 non-U.S.-citizens were registered to vote because of a software error in New Jersey’s Motor Vehicle System. Of those, fewer than 400 voted. An investigtion is underway.

Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber recently stopped by the Watering Hull in Stone Harbor to enjoy dinner with his wife. The restaurant gave him a hat as a keepsake, and Schwarber signed a hat for them.

Two swimmers were safely brought to shore, after getting caught in the rip current near the Division Avenue Beach in Surf City. Both the Surf City Volunteer Fire Company and Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office assisted with the rescue.

Former Judge Edward Turnbach has passed away. Turnbach served as the Ocean County Prosecutor for two terms, from 1976 to 1987. He went on to serve as Presiding Judge in the Criminal Division, retiring in 2006.
