A 36-year-old man died following a crash on Interstate 80 in Paterson. The victim, Clarence Fennel, was struck by a third vehicle after he got out of the car. Two other people were injured.

The bridge between Lyndhurst and Nutley had to be shut down for about 40 minutes, after a World War II-era bomb was found in the Passaic River. The bomb squad determined the explosive had no fuse.

The Warren Kinney Oak Tree in Harding Township has fallen. The historic tree, which stood 80 feet high and was 25 feet wide at its base, was believed to be more than 500 years old.

State officials were on hand to unveil the official portrait of former Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno in Trenton. Guadagno served from 2010 to 2018 and was the first person to hold the position in New Jersey.
