After almost for months out of the spotlight, Congressman Tom Kean has returned to work. Kean revealed he suffered from depression and remained hospitalized during that time under the doctors’ advice.

Tom Blackwell is stepping down as the Ridge High School baseball coach after 21 seasons. Blackwell finished with a record of 328-and-211 and two sectional titles. According to reports, he’ll teach at the school for one more year, before fully retiring.

Somerset County has been given the higest possible financial rating by Moody’s. The honor reflects the expectations that their local economy willl remain strong and their financial reserves will remain stable in the near-term.

Congratulations to Susan Reinhard, chair of the RWJBarnabas Health Board of Trustees, on being named a Living Legend by the American Academy of Nursing. Reinhard is the first nurse and first woman to hold the position.
