A Deptford man was killed after running through a stop sign in Vineland. The 70-year-old collided with a truck at the intersection of Hance Bridge Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An inmate at Bayside State Prison in Maurice River Township was found guilty in the death another inmate back in 2022. 45-year-old Bruce Duette killed 41-year-old Martin Sanchez, who was scheduled to be released the next day.

Tyler Van Riper was recently welcomed to the Washington Township Police Department. Van Riper graduated from the 104th Basic Police Class at the Morris County Police Academy.

The inaugural Gaudreau Family 5K Run took place in Washington Township. The event, which remembers brothers Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau, helped raise money for a new school playground.
