Monmouth County officials unveiled “Freedom’s Battleground,” a Revolutionary War memorial, at Swimming River Park in Middletown. Sculpted by local artist Brian Hanlon, it commemorates those who fought for our country’s freedom, ahead of America’s 250th.
Rutgers Law School dedicated a new plaza in honor of Elizabeth Blume-Silverstein, one of New Jersey’s pioneering attorneys. A member of the Class of 1911, she built a legal career that spanned nearly six decades and broke barriers for generations of women in law.
Congratulations to Stafford Township Police Chief James Haldenwang on his recent retirement. Haldenwang served the community for 26 years including the last two as chief.
