The New York Mets announced a shuttle service from New Jersey to Citi Field for the 2026 season. Shuttles will depart from Paramus Park Mall and Newport Centre Mall in Jersey City about three hours before first pitch.

The Route 71 Bridge, which connects Belmar and Avon-by-the-Sea over the Shark River, has reopened. The drawbridge was shut down back in October for repairs, because of a mechanical issue a few months before.

Legislation to bring back New Jersey’s blue license plates is on the table, after classic car owners say they prefer the design. If approved, each would cost $50, plus a $10 annual fee. The vintage plates were originally issued from 1979 untill 1991.

Officers with the Deptford Township Police Department tried to capture a runaway peacock from a resident’s backyard. While they weren’t able to catch it, they were able to pose for a picture with it, before the bird flew away. Perhaps the best part? The officers named the peacock Flappy Gilmore.
