ShopRite in Wycoff teamed up with Cheez-It to donate $10,000 to local educators. The funding is part of the College Football Playoff Foundation’s “Extra Yard for Teachers” program.

Next Tuesday, Chick-Fil-A in Brick Township is holding Mike’s Spirit Day in honor of Mike Botts, the Chief of EMS and a regular customer. He was recently diagnosed with colon cancer, and a percentage of the proceeds from that day will go towards him and his family.

Camden officials unveiled an exhibit at City Hall called “A League Apart,” which celebrates the legacy of the Negro Leagues and the trailblazers who broke barriers in America’s pastime. The exhibit is free and open to the public Monday through Friday, until the end of the month.

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office congratulates Detective Denis Mitchell on his promotion to Sergeant. He began his law enforcement career with the Toms River Township Police Department in 2015, and joined Ocean County two years later.
