Dr. Robert Lebovics, a physician in Englewood, has announced he will run against Senator Cory Booker. The 68-year-old has run for office before, including a bid for Englewood City Council in 2003 and 2004.

The site of the mostly-vacant Raritan Mall on Route 206 could become home to a five-story apartment complex with nearly 300 units. The proposal is back before the Borough Planning Board, after years of opposition.

South Bound Brook first responders were at Towne Oaks Apartments, after a deer fell through the ice on the canal. A lasso was put around the animal, before it was removed safely. No injuries were reported.

Stella Marina Bar & Restaurant, located on the Asbury Park boardwalk and known for its Italian cuisine, has suddenly closed. The owners made the announcement on their Facebook page, but no reason was given for the shutdown.
