Two New Jersey residents are being monitored by the state’s department of health, after allegedly being exposed to Hantavirus. The inviduals possibly came into contact with passengers on board the MV Hondius cruise ship.

New Jersey Transit has announced that the controversial price of $150 for a round trip between New York Penn Station and MetLife Stadium during FIFA World Cup has been reduced to $105. The agency says sponsorships and other sources are helping offset the high cost.

Crews recently installed an all-grass playing field at MetLife Stadium, for FIFA World Cup 2026. The venue is hosting eight games for the event, from June to July. The field will be switched back to turf ahead of the NFL season.

Governor Mikie Sherrill visited Belleville to survey damage from the recent warehouse fire. She spoke with local officials, small business owners and residents, and says emergency management teams will continue to make sure the township has what it needs to recover.
