Authorities are investigating, after a car landed in the Hackensack River, following a crash on Interstate 80. Several agencies responded to the scene. Everyone involved survived.

The Point Pleasant Police Department dedicated their Records Bureau in memory of Retired Sergeant Hugh Hughes. The sergeant suffered a heart attack on the job in 1984, but recovered after driving himself to the hospital.

For the 11th consecutive year, Englewood Health EMS has earned national recognition from the American Heart Association, for excellence in heart attack and stroke care.

Nutley Mayor John Kelly III, along with the Department of Public Affairs and Health, hosted a blood drive in memory of township resident Anne Rotonda. Rotonda died following a battle with leukemia in 2021.
