An Elizabeth woman was killed crossing the street in Ocean Township. The 26-year-old was hit by an SUV on Sunset Avenue, near Route 35. She was pronounced dead at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.

First responders helped a mother deliver a baby at her home in Bergen County. 33-year-old Avante Nicolls called for help after she realized she wasn’t going to make it to the hospital in time. She and the baby were taken to Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck to recover.

State Senator Troy Singleton attended the Armed Forces Heritage Museum’s Annual Dinner, to present ceremonial resolutions to two extraordinary leaders: Colonel Robert von Bargen and Brigadier General Robert Dutko.

Governor Phil Murphy took a four-day trip to Mexico City to help establish economic partnerships and academic opportunities between New Jersey and Mexico.
