A married couple was rescued after their boat capsized in the Barnegat Inlet, about a quarter of a mile offshore. Several agencies, including the U.S. Coast Guard, responded to the scene. The two were taken to the hospital for treatment. A teacher’s aide in Salem allegedly slammed a five-year-old girl into a metal cabinet at John Fenwick Academy. The girl’s mother says her daughter was covered in bruises after the incident. The senior class of STEM Innovation Academy of the Oranges recently toured Princeton University. Students made stops at Nassau Hall, Firestone Library and the residential colleges, while learning about academic programs and cutting-edge research opportunities. Congratulations to Princeton graduate Mary Brunkow. She was awarded the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, for her discoveries about the immune system. Brunkow is currently the senior program manager at the Institute for Systems Biology in Seattle.
