A Vineland man, who worked as a teacher in Bridgeton, was found guilty of sexually assaulting a sixth-grade student from 2004 to 2005. 57-year-old Isaias Garza is scheduled to be sentenced in January.

A Paterson man was arrested in connection to multiple scrap metal robberies throughout Fairfield. 41-year-old Jonathan Warren is charged with theft and conspiracy. His brother, Matthew Warren, was also involved with the crimes.

Route 19 in Paterson will be designated as the William J. Pascrell Jr. Highway, in honor of the late New Jersey congressman. A city native, he served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1997 until his death in August of 2024.

New Jersey Transit unveiled a new part of its Heritage Fleet. Car 4202 was used on the Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines from 1933 to 1976. It’ll debut at the Meet our Rail Fleet event in Hoboken on Sunday, October 12th.
