A Point Pleasant man who was fostering children at his home allegedly took sexual pictures of them and then posted them online. 42-year-old John Olson faces several charges.

A lawsuit filed against the Port Authority Transit Corporation has been dismissed. The suit was filed by the family of a worker who died on the job, under a law that compensates railroad workers. However, the court ruled the corporation doesn’t qualify as a railroad carrier.

Congratulations to Sergeant Anthony Abate of Belleville. He was recognized as the department’s Officer of the Month for August.

Local officials were on hand for the ribbon-cutting of Shrewsbury Boro School’s expansion and renovations. The project added three classrooms, an all-purpose room and new playground equipment, as well as HVAC and security upgrades.
