A Rumson man who was boating in the Shrewsbury River near Sea Bright has died. Police located 64-year-old Juan Mejia in the water, by the 1300 block of Ocean Avenue. His boat was found nearby, with no one else on board. Mejia was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A man and a woman from California were charged with burglarizing a home on Barton Avenue in Point Pleasant Borough. Police arrested 23-year-old Jaheim Wilson and 21-year-old Oleyah Brown in Toms River.

In response to the recent water main break in Paterson, officers stepped in to make sure residents received the help they need, by going door-to-door and delivering bottled water.

Rock band My Chemical Romance, whose members were raised in Belleville, received a Key to the Township during a concert at Metlife Stadium this past weekend. The honor was presented by the township’s mayor, Michael Melham.
