Officials are investigating, after an alleged burglar was shot by police in East Windsor. Officers responded to the 300 block of Ezra Road, following a report that a man was breaking into an abandoned home. The suspect was hospitalized and listed in critical condition.

A man riding an e-bike in Stafford Township was hospitalized after getting hit by a car. It happened on Route 9, near Littleworth Road, as the car was making a turn.

The Cranford Police Department has announced the passing of Retired Sergeant William Peters. Peters joined the department in 1980 and retired in 2005.

School officials and local leaders broke ground on a 40 million dollar expansion of the Recreation and Health Sciences Center at William Paterson University. The new facility will serve the school’s Department of Kinesiology and will include a wellness center and swimming pool.
