A Staten Island chef is using his passion for food to help families affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Chef Mike DiLeo is preparing for the second annual Savor The Cause fundraiser benefiting Michael’s Cause. The November 5 event at Max’s Esca will raise money for research and family support.

Isabelle “Izzy” Conklin has always been born for storytelling; her parents even named her after a movie character! She studied Film and Television at Montclair State University, where she produced everything from San Francisco: On the Edge to the award-winning Arizona Stories: Border, Water and Politics.
