The holidays are often a time for giving — and in Bergen County, one local organization is making sure that spirit shines brighter than ever. Bergen Volunteers connects residents year-round with meaningful ways to give back, helping neighbors in need and strengthening our communities.

This season, they’re gearing up for their annual “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” event — where 200 volunteers will come together to assemble 2,000 essential-item care packages for individuals and families struggling in our area. Those packages will then be distributed through local community partners to make a real difference during the holidays.

Joining us now is Shara Nadler, CEO of Bergen Volunteers, to talk about the event, the impact it has on local families, and how all of us can get involved.
