Governor Mikie Sherrill just signed three migrant protection bills. The legislation would Strengthen Trust Between Law Enforcement and Immigrant Communities, ban agents from wearing masks and establish the Privacy Protection Act.

Acting superintendent Jeanne Hengemuhle and Attorney General Jennifer Davenport attended the Lady Blue & Gold Luncheon. The event, which celebrated its 25th anniversary, honors the impact of women within the New Jersey State Police.

Local officials were in Jackson for the ribbon-cutting of New Jersey’s first new fire tower in 78 years. Named Veterans Fire Tower, it will serve as a critical early detection tool for Ocean and Monmouth Counties.

The West Orange High School Wind Ensemble earned a Gold Rating at the Region I West Essex High School Festival. They were also selected as one of just four bands to perform at the state’s High School Concert Band Gala at William Paterson University in April.
