About 5,500 gallons of diesel fuel from the Equinix data center in Secaucus spilled into Anderson Creek. According to officials, cleanup efforts will continue this week.

Eclipse Lodge #67 Free & Accepted Masons donated two brand new pedal carts to the Carlstadt Police Department’s Community Affairs Unit. The carts will serve as an interactive tool to safely teach kids about the dangers and impairing effects of alcohol and drug use.

Sunday was a great start to the NFL season for Jets and Giants fans. The Jets took on the Tennessee Titans in Nashville. In his first game with the Jets since October of 2016, Quarterback Geno Smith helped guide his team to a 23-to-10 victory.

The Giants were in East Rutherford hosting the Dallas Cowboys. They won their game 28-to-20. This marked their first win under new Head Coach John Harbaugh and their first Week 1 home victory since 2010.
